-ABOUT
Alice+Olivia
Alice+Olivia was founded in 2002 by designer Stacey Bendet. Stacey, a fashion designer, wife, and mother, heavily reflects the diverse lifestyles of modern women in her creative activities. She has proposed "color" through her collections to enrich lives. Her designs are characterized by a unique sense of humor and intellect within romanticism. Stacey originally established her brand with the desire to create the perfect pair of pants. Today, it has grown into a large-scale lifestyle brand, including not only apparel but also accessories, shoes, and bags.
-----------------------------------------------
In 2002, Bendet founded Alice + Olivia. Bendet designed a slim-hipped jean style to create a leg-lengthening and flattering silhouette. Designer Lisa Kline noticed her passing by and ordered twenty sets. This led to an opportunity for Bendet to present a collection based on the concept at the Russian Tea Room. Soon after, department store Barneys New York placed an order, and Andrew Rosen, the developer of the Theory fashion line, offered to fund Bendet's new business.
