Alexander McQueen -

A British luxury fashion brand known for its creative and avant-garde designs and meticulous tailoring techniques.

Characterized by its mystical and intense imagery.

It pays meticulous attention to silhouettes and details, employing advanced tailoring techniques.

Designer: Alexander McQueen

Known for his unconventional designs and shocking methods, his dramatic designs received numerous accolades, and he had avant-garde fashion clients such as Björk, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna, while also winning British Designer of the Year four times.

Born the youngest of six children in a working-class area of London. His father was a taxi driver. At 16, he left school and was hired as an assistant at a Savile Row tailor. He later worked at Romeo Gigli's atelier in Italy, but then returned to London to study on the MA course at Central Saint Martins.

In 1992, his debut was decided when his graduate collection at Central Saint Martins caught the eye of Isabella Blow, then a Vogue editor and renowned stylist. At that time, Blow reportedly bought his entire graduate collection for an exceptional price of 5,000 pounds, despite McQueen being an unknown talent.

In 1996, he participated in London Fashion Week. In the same year, he was appointed designer for Givenchy, but in December 2000, he sold 51% of McQueen Co. shares to the Gucci Group. This led to a falling out with Givenchy, which is under LVMH. He was removed as designer at the end of his contract in October 2001.

He also designed for his second line, "McQ."
