-ABOUT Alice+Olivia
Alice+Olivia was founded in 2002 by designer Stacey Bendet. Stacey, who is not only a fashion designer but also a wife and mother, strongly reflects the diverse lifestyles of modern women in her creative work. Through her collections, she offers a sense of color that enriches life. Her designs are characterized by a romantic ambiance, a unique sense of humor, and intelligence. Originally founded by Stacey, her brand was inspired by her quest to create the perfect pair of pants. It has now grown into a major lifestyle brand, offering not only apparel but also accessories, shoes, and bags.
-----------------------------------------------
In 2002, Bendet founded Alice + Olivia . Bendet proposed a style of jeans that was slim around the hips to elongate the legs and create a flattering silhouette. Designer Lisa Klein noticed her walking by and ordered 20 pairs, which gave Bendet the opportunity to present a collection based on the concept at the Russian Tea Room . Soon after, department store Barneys New York placed an order, and Andrew Rosen, developer of the Theory fashion line, offered to fund Bendet's new business.
